25 + years Of Experience

Extreme Auto Repair has proudly served the Layton area for almost 30 years. Our founder, Lael, spent much of his career working in dealerships. Eventually, he set off to operate his own auto repair shop with a focus on proper diagnostics and creating a welcoming, family-like environment. Lael then grew his business to include two locations–the original Layton location and a second location in Centerville. After considerable growth at both locations, he sold the Layton location to a partner he considers family and knew would continue his values of quality work.

As of August 2024, Extreme Auto Repair Layton is proudly owned by the leadership team that owns Shadetree Automotive and A.B. Hadley – Tom Lambert, his wife Cindy, Braiden Reich, and Brian Bassett. The four of them make up a well-balanced team that all share the same core values with expertise in different areas of leadership, such as management, training, processes, marketing, and making teammates feel loved. They are all grateful to be a part of keeping the well-known Extreme Auto Repair legacy alive.

“I love the auto repair industry. I was blessed to get my start in this industry from my dad over 30 years ago. My dad and many other mentors in this industry are the hardest working and most giving people I have ever met. After hearing Lael was struggling, I talked to my amazing wife Cindy, my business partners Brian and Braiden and quickly realized we had the people and the processes needed to help save this amazing business. Thank you Cindy, Brian, Braiden and team for all you do to allow us to step up in moments like these!”

Message from proud new owner Tom Lambert

If you live in the area, you have likely noticed some of the improvements being made at Extreme Auto Repair. We have upgraded our amazing holding lot, installed all new landscaping out front and upgraded the exterior and signage of the building. We also turned Cindy loose on the office to make it feel like home.

More important than some paint and signs, we have added to the amazing Extreme Auto Repair team. We now have general manager Chad Sellers running the business. He has decades of experience including previously owning his own shop in South Ogden. Joining him in the office is Jordyn Sewell. Jordyn is one of the most friendly and fun loving young ladies you will meet. She has grown up around the auto repair industry as her dad runs one of the most successful tire shops in Ogden.

In the shop, we thankfully still have Lael and his son Junior. We also brought one of our favorite mechanics over from the Shadetree family, Jim Cassell. Jim has decades of experience working on all makes and models. His calm demeanor and quality workmanship makes him the guy you want working on your vehicle.

Just like our other two successful and well known shops in the area, here are the core values that we utilize to keep us on the path to success and an very important good reputation in our communities.

OUR Core Values

Reliability

If we say we are going to do something, we will do everything possible to honor that promise. You can rely on Extreme Auto to always give it to you straight and come through on our word.

Continuous improvement

I strive to be better in all areas of my life.  I work diligently to be a better person, husband, father, friend, leader and co worker.  I lead our business to increase it’s production and profitability by 10% year over year.

Clear Expectations and Communication

We strive to ensure our team understands what each client expects from us and that every customer knows what to expect in return. We will always clearly communicate costs, completion times, processes, etc.

Ethical

If you can not speak about a decision openly with all parties involved, it is likely not the right conversation or decision. When we make a mistake, we do everything in our power to make it correct. If we wouldn’t do it to our vehicle, we won’t recommend someone else do it to theirs.

EVERYBODY WINS

For our shop to conduct business with someone, everyone involved must be able to win or we will kindly help guide you to somewhere that better fits your needs.
